The AS 940 Sherpa 4WD is the legendary ride-on mower designed specifically for challenging terrain and high vegetation. Equipped with permanent all-wheel drive, it provides exceptional stability: uphill it ensures better traction, while downhill it delivers stronger and safer braking performance. For extreme situations, the differential lock can be engaged at any time via a foot pedal, giving the machine uncompromised agility on rugged surfaces.
The mowing system is a technical masterpiece featuring the AS cross-blade technology. The main blade bar with free-swinging blades cuts the vegetation, while a mulching blade above it shreds and defibrillates the clippings. This allows for a high area coverage of up to 5,500 m² per hour and the ability to handle growth heights of up to 1.50 meters. The central rear discharge guides clippings between the wheels, preventing the tires from losing traction on the mulch layer, especially in damp conditions.
Safety and ergonomics are integrated into every aspect of the Sherpa's construction. Its low center of gravity and stable tubular steel frame provide high tip-over protection and durability in professional environments. The adjustable bucket seat ensures a comfortable working position for operators up to 1.90 m tall, with customizable suspension stiffness. Furthermore, the hydrostatic drive is managed entirely through a 4-function lever, controlling forward and reverse movement as well as the parking brake.
